J'ai pris une ouverture inférieure (6) à celle de mon OTTO LINK (7) avec des anches American cut en 2.75. c'est vraiment génial par contre j'ai abandonné la ligature de la marque Syos pour une Bambu nova mais c'est juste une question de ressenti personnel pas de produit. Une meilleure facilité de jeu et un meilleur rendu de la anche !🍀
I was looking for a mouthpiece that was balanced enough to cut through a loud live setting with synths and electric guitars, while still being able to sound round and mellow whenever needed, despite the relatively high baffle. The Take The A Train delivered exactly that balance and flexibility. Great job, Syos!
This mouthpiece plays with a comfortable airflow. I play in a rock band, and it plays loud and powerful when needed. I'll be ordering one for my tenor sax soon!

Ce bec est incroyable ! Il permet une précision dans tous les registres, et dans toutes les nuances. Pas de sacrifice du grave au profit des aigus (et inversement). Son doux et rond, mais permettant tout de même une bonne puissance.

This is pretty much the mouthpiece I would have been looking for if I'd thought it existed. I need to be able to play warm and precise. I need to be able to play wild with lots of multiphonics. I need to be able to play with punch and strong rhythm. And I need that across the entire range of the bass clarinet.
And then I got to know Syos and the possibility seemed to open up, so I read the full descriptions of all the signature mouthpieces and thought "this sounds like the one". So this is also a tribute to Syos's ability to describe each mouthpiece's characteristics in a way musicians understand, so we can see which one sounds right for us and which other great mouthpiece is for someone with other needs.
This mouthpiece is terrific - so versatile!!! I can use it in so many genres... including playing in a 10 piece soul band, a smaller function band, and while teaching jazz and classical students. Interestingly, I also tried the Spark for alto, and found that with the same tip opening I needed to use a harder reed for the Spark than the Steady! Nothing wrong with that, it just interested me! Both pieces are super responsive 👌

Ho iniziato da pochi mesi fa a studiare il sax (tenore). Come molti, ho iniziato l'imboccatura in dotazione (il sax è un Yamaha YTS62). Ho incontrato molte difficoltà nel produrre un suono accettabile. Ho provato anche qualche imboccatura alternativa per poco tempo ma senza miglioramenti significativi. Infine ho provato il vostro Syos Smokey (apertura 5). Il mio miglioramento è stato istantaneo: poca fatica, molti meno errori, più espressività, più facilità agli estremi di gamma. Il commento nel mio maestro è stato: "non mollare più quel Syos e tienitelo bello stretto"....Grazie Syos
While setting up for a gig, my favorite baritone sax mouthpiece of many years was damaged when I dropped it on a concrete floor. It was still playable, but I wanted an alternative to use while I sent it in for repairs. I tried an Original and several Signature pieces, and finally came close to what I was looking for with the Knoell Scott Signature, but not quite. I worked with Maxime to make some modifications to the Knoell Scott design, including a higher and shorter baffle. After further consultation and a couple of versions later, she sent me the perfect mouthpiece. Now, rather than being a backup, my Syos Custom Baritone is my favorite mouthpiece! Their generous return and exchange policy, and their willingness to work with customers to find the perfect fit, is what makes Syos different. Thank you!
