While setting up for a gig, my favorite baritone sax mouthpiece of many years was damaged when I dropped it on a concrete floor. It was still playable, but I wanted an alternative to use while I sent it in for repairs. I tried an Original and several Signature pieces, and finally came close to what I was looking for with the Knoell Scott Signature, but not quite. I worked with Maxime to make some modifications to the Knoell Scott design, including a higher and shorter baffle. After further consultation and a couple of versions later, she sent me the perfect mouthpiece. Now, rather than being a backup, my Syos Custom Baritone is my favorite mouthpiece! I bought my custom Syos bari mouthpiece 5 years ago, and have been playing it for those last 5 years, and honestly, it’s the only mouthpiece I want and need! I love how easy it was to customize the mouthpiece, and how there are examples for power and tone! I customized it to be super free blowing and it plays exactly like I hoped it would! Syos customer service is also excellent - I had emailed a little while ago asking if they keep records of customized mouthpieces since I cannot remember what power and tone levels I selected 5 years ago, and was concerned that if something ever happened to my mouthpiece I wouldn’t be able to replace it. (They do keep records, so in the event you do need to recorder it, you can contact customer service to reorder the exact specs!)

J’ai commandé un bec sur mesure pour mon baryton, le deuxième était parfait !… L’adéquation de la géométrie du bec par rapport à la description du son recherché est bluffante. Certes, le prix est élevé, mais je recommande cette expérience : j’ai enfin un bec qui correspond parfaitement à mes attentes.

Le bec correspond parfaitement à mes attentes . Merci d'avoir pris le temps de modifier la longueur du bec pour qu'il s'adapte à mon vieux baryton . En ce qui concerne le son et la facilité de jeu , j'adore! Encore une fois, merci !

Customized Syos baritone mouthpiece with specifications of my trusted Selmer 80C*. The Syos is now my new favourite mouthpiece for my Yanagisawa bari sax. It blows wonderful, as easy as my Selmer but with more oomph and character!

Depuis quelques temps c'est devenu mon bec principal après Selmer et Otto Link super tone master 6*. Ce bec est conforme à ce que j'attendais : une émission aisée sur l'ensemble de la tessiture, un son velouté comme je l'aime.
Je souhaite cependant exprimer un bémol et un double dièse !
Le bémol fut la difficulté à trouver la justesse car le bec était trop court pour mon baryton Selmer Super Action II, il tenait mal sur le bocal.
Le double dièse c'est qu'après échange avec l'équipe, Syos m'a envoyé un bec refait à la bonne longueur. C'est remarquable car simple amateur j'ai eu le sentiment d'être traité comme une star.

The custom mouthpiece made by Syos works great on my Martin Comm III baritone sax, which is not uncritical in terms of intonation. Syos has found an optimal compromise between sound, response and intonation.

super bec, hyper agréable à jouer

After playing on it for a few months this is by far the best mouthpiece I've played on and the customization options are fantastic and really makes it easy to get the perfect mouthpiece!

Très très proche du Théo Wannee Shiva 3 en plus « free blowing », confort de jeu complet y compris sur les altissimos.
avec texture discrètement plus mate.
Bref, un rapport qualité prix irréprochable.

I ordered a mouthpiece from SYOS back in May. Received the custom MP in 7-9 days. Which I felt was real fast since they made it to my specs. The mp played excellent and very easy to play however it was a little too bright and punchy for what I needed it for. I play mostly at church with a praise band. Sent an email explaining my need. SYOS made some changes and sent me another custom MP. This mouth piece had the exact sound I was looking for Dark and warm but could also handle a lot of air for a big strong sounds if needed. I play a new YANi 020 both mp’s played with better sound quality and intonation than my current mp a Brillhart 5 these are my two go to mouth pieces now. So much so I decide to keep both and pay for the extra one instead of sending one back.
