After I saw a SYOS ad for the first time (on Facebook) I was interested, but wondered: 1. are they legitimate, and 2. could a 3D printed mouthpiece really be that good.

After checking them out and reading reviews, I decided to try it, and I am so glad I did.
Yes, they ARE legitimate, and yes, their mouthpieces ARE that good.

I have been playing sax for 63 years, and I have been looking for the perfect piece for just about that long. I have had some that were close, and played well, but......
I have played Brillhart, Selmer, Meyer, Claude Lakey etc, etc. My latest piece was a Jody Jazz, Tenor, Jet 7*. I did a lot of research on the JJ, and while it played well, it still left me wanting more.

Enter the SYOS. In Nov. I ordered the blue, tenor, “insaneintherain” in 7, 7* and 8.
They all blew me away, but the 7 hit my sweet spot. I was advised to use a stiffer reed, so I went up a half and I was blown away by how easy it was to play, the projection and the sound that came out of my horn. I went up another half strength and it was even better. I'll keep slowly stepping up till I find the perfect reed strength.

The low notes pop right out, and the highs sing while effortlessly making it all happen.
I have never had a mouthpiece that was so easy to play, and so responsive.
SYOS makes playing so much more fun, and makes me want to play more.
Printed on the inside of the box is “your new best friend is here”. Yes it is.

Customer service is awesome. Sylvie is very knowledgeable, replied to all my (many) emails immediately, and answered my questions completely. She quickly processed my refund for the returned piece. (If you live in the US, returns go to Las Vegas not France which is inexpensive).

If you have a sax – you need a SYOS

Great mouthpiece. Good projection and tone. Versatile. A step baffle but not extreme. Easy to play.

This mouthpiece has a ton of range and capabilities with its tone and sound. It can play low and sweet despite the small chamber and step baffle, and can obviously be pushed to create some fiery and powerful sounds too. Once I got the hang of controlling this mouthpiece, it is the most versatile mouthpiece I have played on.

Based on reviews I expected much power. It plays no better or worse than my Java jumbo T55, my first mouthpiece purchased for $80 in 1996

I'm a senior in a small high school and one of the few who wants to pursue music in the future. I'm tenor 1 in my jazz band and decided to get an insaneintherain signature mouthpiece from Syos. This gave me the powerful and controllable sound that I was always looking for and I'm really happy to be able to truly express myself the way I want to. Amazing work Syos! I also got a custom baritone sax mouthpiece a year ago for marching purposes and it really gave me a loud sound to get the sound across.

I have recently bought a Syos signature tenor sax mouthpiece of Carlos Eine ( insaneintherain ) it is easily the best mouhtpiece i have ever played. As Carlos says it does everything, the brightness and power he has chosen is pretty much what i would have chosen. However the options are endless, and i will be customizing one of my own in the future, on the simple to use custom page and very helpful staff

I'm really hyped! What a sound in the low and in the high register! This is so flexible!
