Great all round MPC for my purposes. Well into my third year using it. Have had to flatten the table a couple of time after which the MPC "soared". Unfortunately the tooth pad glue started to etch into the beak and after removing it, tried to clean the residue with acetone. Not a good result, the whole beak began soften and to shed finish. I re-lacquered the whole thing which filled in the gaps nicely but does not look very appealing now. It can still be played but is harder work. Currently trying cheaper, closer set tip MPC's and could re-visit SYOS later as the Mpc's do work as described.

Allez je me lance, il y a trop de Musiciens qui en disent du bien ! Après une étude de Syos, sur mon son, mon style de jeux, mes attentes et mon ancien bec métal, on en conclu que le signature Tivon Pennicott me correspond. Je le reçois et là c’est un truc de malade ! Je jouai avec un Berg Larsen 95* 2 depuis des décennies et je ne ferai pas machine arrière ! C’est bluffant !
Mon Selmer, mes Vandorens, mon Syos, je joue 100% français et avec mon son que je travail depuis toujours ! Moi j’dis BRAVO ! en plus un peut de couleur dans ce monde ça ne fait pas de mal ! 🙏🏼✨🎷🐀

Outstanding! Exactly the sound I was looking for. Plays smooth and gives me perfect response. Minimal resistance and great control. This is the ONE I have been looking for.

I’ve spent so much money and time trying to find a saxophone mouthpiece that really fit me and worked for me. SYOS did just that when I ordered the Scott Paddock Signature Series mouthpiece for Tenor. This mouthpeice has given me the ability to push a lot of air and not have my sound get all wacky. This is definitely a company to try out before you start spending hundreds of dollars on other mouthpieces!!

The ease of playing is the first thing I noticed. It blows easily from the top to bottom. No problem going from p to ff in all registers. Sound is beautiful, I favor ballads, and this delivers mellow and smooth. Im anxious to try the bari and alto piece that I have on order!

With a vandoren JazZ #2, it's sounds better than with a #1.5 (for me...)

J'ai enfin trouvé le bec qui me convient, Tivon Pennicott, Tenor 7. Son sombre merveilleusement chaud et très facile à jouer dans toute la gamme tonale, y compris les alrissimos. I bought this after drinking beer and watching Tivon Pennicott play on this mouthpiece. I was convinced that if I bought this then I could sound like him. When was sober I regretted ordering it and nervously waited for it to come. But I was not disappointed! I do NOT sound like him, but I am delighted with this mouthpiece. It is very easy to play and delicious in the lower register. But it still has power when pushed and a nice little edge. Is this due to the secret ripples inside? I’m going to stick with this for some time and get to know it. Also…amazing value!

Before getting a Syos mouthpiece I played a metal Otto link mouthpiece which was great. But I saw a video of Tivon Pennicott playing a Syos and loved his sound so decided to try one out for myself. When I played the Syos mouthpiece for the first time I was shocked by how much easier it felt and it felt very even across all registers including altissimo.

Au départ, je doutais de la qualité de becs de saxophones faits à partir d’une imprimante 3d. Mais l’essai m’a immédiatement convaincu que non seulement l’option est viable, mais que le bec est d’une qualité remarquable. Le modèle Tyvon Pennicott est fidèle aux qualités sonores décrites par Syos en plus d’être très facile à jouer, même dans le suraïgu. Je pourrais dire la même chose des autres modèles que j’ai essayé, soit le Scott Paddock (que j’ai acheté) et le Jonas Wall.

Das Tivon Pennicott passt super zu meinem Selmer Mark VII Tenor - schöner fluffiger Sound und Subtones möglich. Perfekte Intonation und Ansprache auch in den Höhen. Exakt wie im Beispielvideo!!

Bec acheté au magasin "vent de passion" à Limoges, après avoir essayé plusieurs modèles de la marque.
Acheté en ouverture 7, je joue sur un Ténor Mark VI. J'adore le beau gros son, chaud et puissant comme je les aime, mais peut se révéler également plus percutant en fonction de l'engagement que l'on y met.
Après plusieurs mois d'utilisation, je ne regrette pas mon choix.

Beaucoup de plaisir à jouer avec ce bec. Très bons conseils lors de l’achat en magasin

Very good control on the lower register.
Lovely when you play ballads and mainstream jazz. I found it easy to play, with a rounded and fat sound.

So first of all I´m a huuuge Tivon fan. Love his sound, so I decided to buy this mouthpiece. Normally I play Theo Wanne Ambika 9 that I really like and has been my main setup for years, quite dark too. And decided to give a try to this mouthpiece after trying some other ones for alto and being suprised for the good. And I was super not impressed with this one (bought the 9 size), miles but miles away from my usual setup, and from other brands at the same price with kind of the same sound concept, stuffy, sonically not very flexible. Played it a few times and it´s in the closet right now.

yes! great sound and great comfort. this mouthpiece is so easy to play. you can play smoothly but with a good low register, or go for some funky parts. i'm tempted to increase the strength of the reeds because i'm no longer afraid of getting the low notes out and i'd gain more control and accuracy. i've been tempted by the formidable Tivon Pennicott.

I found the customer service at syos to be excellent. Though the website is very informative, I still had some questions, which were answered within minutes! Selecting a mouthpiece can be difficult and complex even under the best conditions, but syos provides plenty of guidance to help simplify the process. Shipping was prompt, with tracking information supplied.
