I play in a 9 piece Rolling Stones tribute band and also a six piece New Orleans funk band. This mouthpiece has the power, tone, and brightness I need to stand out. I am able to hit Altissimo with ease now and have great command through the full range of notes. Amazing how much more my horn vibrates with this mouthpiece!
I’m an older player—-was using a Brillhart Level Air mouthpiece for the last 40 years(made me lots of money) This mouthpiece is a step up—-its very easy playing and also easy to control—pitch is excellent—using it on a 1954 Selmer Balanced Action. Sound it bright and cuts through the band—I’m using a Silverstein Ambipoly size 3 Synthetic reed
I really like the Mornington Lockett tenor mouthpiece. It has a robust tone and is not as bright as it seems at first glance. The airflow is easy, the intonation is excellent. Bec confortable et facile à jouer, puissance et timbre comme espérés. Grande chambre ou petite chambre, plafond bas ou pas etc. Très pédagogique de surcroît.
When I first tried this mouthpiece I couldn't get a refined sound out, but after talking to a support member, they helped me identify the problem as being too hard of a reed for the big transition off of my old mouthpiece. Plays fantastic after switching reeds!
Au premier test je me suis tout de suite rendu compte que ce n'était pas un bec pour moi. Son trop brillant, trop crade, aigus impossible à sortir... bref, erreur de casting. Je me suis ensuite rabattu sur un max ionata (au passage super politique d'essai et de retour de la part de Syos) qui lui par contre me donne entière satisfaction !

Le bac est super facile pour avoir des aigues surper clairs et brillants ! c'est magique.
En revanche, le médium et les graves restent eux quelconques....
On ne peut pas tout avoir dans la vie.
Donc un 4 étoiles est tr_s bien pour ce bec très spécialisé !

After trying different types of SYOS tenor mouth pieces the Mornington Lockett was the ticket for my type of playing!
First one received had an 8 tip opening, but I didn't have the lungs for it (I'm 72 years old !!)
Syos accepted the return and sent a 6*.
