My custom Syos piece is by far the most comfortable and versatile mouthpiece I’ve ever played. From sub-tones in the lowest register to altissimo at all dynamics - this piece is home for me. Syos mouthpieces: beautiful colors with a beautiful and powerful sound!!

​I have been hearing a great deal about Syos mouthpieces. I ordered one and have fallen in love with the possibilities of shaping your own sound. I also like the colors. I play alto & tenor saxophone and clarinet and look forward to add more to my mouthpiece arsenal.  My new alto mouthpiece is bright, and projects beautifully with excellent intonation.

What I immediately loved about my Syos mouthpiece is the richness of the sound even when playing at low volume. On stage I use a lot of effects (pitch, filter, distortion...) and I have to make sure that the direct acoustic sound of my sax is not overly present so that the audience can enjoy the sound amplified and modified by my effects pedals. This mouthpiece makes it a pleasure to play at low levels with energy and precision!

Complete accuracy across the range and a pleasure to play. It was an effortless transition to the Syos mouthpieces on each of my horns. They deliver the flexibility to play in any style whilst still being ‘me’. I love the mouthpieces and the talented team behind them!

I find that my Syos mouthpiece is the most comfortable one to play on out of everything I have tried out so far. For every mouthpiece there is a compromise to be made; but my Syos one allows me to create a sound that is rich in overtones and all kinds of colors, and is open to multiphonic possibilities while keeping an easy-going and smooth control of intonation throughout the whole register. No matter if it is for a hip-hop piece, a contemporary orchestra or a swingin' show; it is ready for every style, which is very important to me.

My Syos clarinet mouthpiece offers me an effective flexibility on the chalumeau and clarino registers. So much fun – beautiful work.
