Syos stands for Shape Your Own Sound. Syos is a French company founded in 2016 at Paris' IRCAM acoustics lab. We design and 3D print saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces, engineered with 1/100mm precision.
Is Syos related to SYOS Aerospace?
No. SYOS Aerospace is a separate company based in New Zealand that builds uncrewed vehicles for the defense sector. It shares a name with us, but has no connection to Syos, the saxophone and clarinet mouthpiece maker in Paris.
Is Syos the same brand as Syoss?
No. Syoss (with a double "s" at the end) is a hair care brand owned by Henkel: shampoos, colorants, styling products. Syos, with a single final "s," makes saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces. The names sound alike, but the two companies are unrelated.
