To be sure that you make the right choice, we have developed an equivalence system to know which opening to choose at SYOS according to the mouthpiece you already have.

For every order containing one or several mouthpieces, there is an additional 3 to 5 days production time. The shipping time depends on the shipping method and on the shipping country (for the US, express is 2 days and standard is 10).

Product exchanges and refunds are available during 30 days after the reception of the order. To request a product return, get your order ID and visit our return portal. Please note that saxophone and clarinet reeds are non exchangeable and non refundable.

Syos stands for Shape Your Own Sound. The technology and the science behind our saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces come from years of research in acoustics at Ircam, the worldwide reference in terms of sound technologies .

The meeting between Pauline, PhD in acoustics, and Maxime, PhD in auditory perception, started the creation and development of a new and original way of crafting instruments.

Syos ships to most of the countries in the world except those of South America and Central America, Iran, Nigeria, North Korea, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey and Russia.

As the mouthpieces are made-to-order, please expect a manufacturing time ranging from 3 to 5 days. The delivery time then varies depending on the destination country and if you choose an express or regular shipping.

I bought the purple, smoky mouthpiece with a blue ligature and I LOVE how it looks ! These mouthpieces are so easy to play and they sound amazing ! I played at a wedding disco recently and got a LOT of compliments on the sound of my sax - thank you!

Very easy response, effortless playing

I have previously played the mouthpieces from Yamaha 4C, Otto Link 5* and the Jody Jazz HR5 in combination with various reeds in the thickness Hempke 2.5 to 3.0s Jazz Selected.
I have been playing alto saxophone for 2 years (one hour a day) and I am still a beginner. I prefer a dark, warm sound. When I tried the Smoky 5, it was a WOW! the mouthpiece plays so easily and the intonation is very easy from low b (B flat) to high F sharp (f'''#). On the Judy Jazz HR5 I could hardly play 30 minutes in a row. With the Smoky 5, I can play for hours without fatigue. I then also tried synthetic reeds and am thrilled. The Syos Smoky 5 plus Legere French Cut 2.5 play so easily, with good control, very good sound, that I can say: I have found my dream setup.
I have one point of criticism: the finish inside could be smoother, especially where you slide the mouthpiece onto the S-neck, the rough inside makes the cork rough. Here you should make the inside a little smoother.

Smoky, trèes satisfait !

Bonne surprise en recevant ce bec, après plusieurs échanges et (bons)conseils de Sylvie, étant débutant, je cherchais un bec facile à jouer, et j'ai tout de suite constaté la facilité de jeu aussi bien dans les graves que les aigus! j'apprécie aussi beaucoup les hanches, par contre la ligature ne me satisfait pas vraiment, j'ai conservé mon ancienne. Donc très bon premier contact avec Syos, beaucoup de pédagogie très utile sur votre site. Bonne continuation.

Nice sound, very easy to play

This produces a an almost opposite sound to my Jody Jazz mouthpiece. It's deliciously smokey and lends itself well to Latin jazz sounds. I love it!
