The Syos for modern bass works great on my Thomann bass. It helps brighten a dark sound, even if it is a bit hard to tame.
I use a Spark bari piece on my Gary Sugal Series IV low A bari, and a Smoky (demo) on a (new) Thomann Jazz Bari (no low-A). Each one serves to moderate the sound of a particular insteument, so I can dial in the tone I like.
