Au vu des commentaires plutôt unanimes, voire dithyrambiques, sur votre site, je m'attendais à une véritable révolution en matière de son (bec acheté pour jouer en petite fanfare). Malheureusement, ce n'est pas le cas en ce qui me concerne. Je me suis dit que je m'y habituerais, qu'il fallait un peu d'entraînement... et du coup j'ai laissé passer le délai de retour. Je dois donc bien "faire avec" ce bec. Peut-être n'ai-je pas choisi le bon ? Je suis plutôt satisfaite du volume sonore (pour les solos notamment) ; en revanche, le son est nasillard et ne correspond pas du tout à ce que je recherchais (à savoir, de la chaleur associée à de la brillance, est-ce antinomique ?). J'ai choisis ce bec car le son est supposé se rapprocher de celui de Michael Brecker, que j'apprécie beaucoup. Je ne trouve pas que ce soit le cas... Très déçue de la ligature également, qui ne tient pas et glisse dès les premières notes. Je me suis donc racheté une ligature "cuir", qui améliore bien le son. Note : de mini stries sont présentes sur l'extrême pointe du bec, est-ce normal ? Il n'y en a pas sur le bec acheté récemment par un ami...
Bonjour Pascaline, merci pour votre retour. Je suis désolée que le bec ne vous convienne pas. Quel était votre précédent bec, et son ouverture?
Je suis également désolée, mais le son ne vient pas que du bec, il est aussi (et surtout) produit par la personne qui joue. Un bec peut aider à changer de son, ou à l'améliorer, encore faut il qu'il convienne, mais il ne peut pas tout faire. Un travail régulier et constant est requis, des sons filés et des exercices de son tous les jours, par exemple.
Nous allons exceptionnellement rallonger la période d'essai pour un échange, et allons essayer de vous trouver un bec qui vous convienne mieux.

le son est bon mais la qualité de fabrication moyenne, l'extrémité du bec s'est cassée au bout de 18 mois.
Par contre, le SAV s'est montré efficace et l'a remplacé en une semaine.

Sounds like a regular mouthpiece. I'd like to have more tone open on low register. But overall isn't bad mouthpiece.
im a still very much a beginner and just passed my 4th grading so i thought i would treat myself. What a difference this mouthpiece made to my tennor beinner saxophone. Saving to buy another for my alto and then soprano. Bright sparkly and flexible.
Steady 5 Tenor ein weiteres Mundstück was mich begeistert hat nachdem ich mir für mein JAS 767 ein Smoky 6 gekauft hatte sollte es mein Jupiter 1100 Tenor Sax auch ein Syos Mundstück sein. So habe ich mir das Steady 5 in einer wunderschönen gelben Farbe bestellt ! Die 5 ist beim Tenor Horn perfekt wegen leichter Luftprobleme und das Steady 5 ist leicht zu spielen, hat eine leichte Ansprache und einen sehr guten Sound.Öffnung 5 war gute Wahl auf empfehlung von Syos! Also ein top allrounder Mundstück für Stilrichtungen. Ich würde es wieder tun !
Réception rapide
Adaptation facile , même si j'ai toujours quelques difficultés avec sol et sol dièse, mais c'est dû au bonhomme. J'ai donc l'idée d'un nouveau produit d'un bec qui viendrait corriger la propension machiavélique du tenor à fabriquer des harmoniques grabataires en lieu et place des fréquences souhaitées pour ces notes.
Mon seul regret de ne pas avoir pu en essayer plusieurs pour choisir le mieux.
Celui que j ai me convient mais je reste persuadé qu il y a mieux pour moi ces syos

I got all three tenor Syos originals tip 8. The Steady one works fine in loud set up. I prefer plastic to rubber (smell/taste) and metal ones are expensive. It’s responsive and free blowing, you can just concentrate / practice on everything else. As for the sound, I like it :-)
J'avais un bec un peu plus ouvert avant, mais je m'habitue avec celui-ci je dois prendre un peu plus de longueur de pince pour retrouver le son qui me convenait.
