Biography
After hitting the road with countless bands as a journeyman saxophone-wielding sideman, songwriter Jon Berman picked up a guitar and brought his own music to life.
With influences ranging from the coastal music of Jack Johnson, Jimmy Buffet and Kenny Chesney, touching upon the country of Dierks Bentley and Willie Nelson, and reaching to the jazz of Joshua Redman and Stan Getz, Jon’s music covers many genres that appeal to a wide listening audience.
Jon has performed with acts such as Barefoot Truth, Changes in Latitudes, The Sweet Remains, Jackson Wetherbee and The Elovaters, Stephen Kellogg, John Frinzi, Carlos Reyes, Six Fox Whiskey, Mieka Pauley, Rick Monroe, Clarias, Seeking Homer and the ska bands Infamous Shoeless Joe, Big Lick, and T.I.P.
In his touring career, Jon has opened for many acts including country stars Granger Smith and Clare Dunn, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson, Will Hoge, Reel Big Fish, Stick Figure, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul, Guster, Sully Erna of Godsmack, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Shinedown, Staind and Aaron Lewis.
