According to me, SYOS has succeeded to innovate in a market which is said clogged in terms of innovations : they developped good listening capacities coupled with the mastery of modern technology. Moreover, the exchanges I had with the team during my mouthpieces creation process were a privileged moment which is, I think, important for musicians: feeling heard and accompanied in the quest of the perfect gear.

I fell in love with Syos when I first tried my bandmate's model and was super jealous of the power, response and flexibility of tone. Fortunately my old mouthpiece broke shortly afterwards and Syos instantly came to my rescue! It's definitely added a new flavour to my live improvisations- I'll be sticking with Syos from now on!

My SYOS mouthpiece gives me the most versatility and ease of playing of any mouthpiece I've ever played. I can access soft, warm, breathy tones and red-hot laser fusion jazz shred tones all on the same mouthpiece. Seriously, this thing does everything!

I told the people at Syos that I was looking for a tenor mouthpiece with a big sound that could cut. In addition to the sound, I explained a problem that I have always had on tenor which is a stuffy sounding middle Eb & D. The difference between Syos and other mouthpiece makers is they are not one size fits all. They listen to what you want and then can tweak what you really like to make it perfect. I now play a Syos tenor mouthpiece with a really big sound that cuts, and I no longer have a stuffy middle Eb or D.

I’d heard nothing but good things about SYOS via a couple of trusted collaborators, so I knew I had to take the plunge and see what they could do for me. I needed something dynamic that could be flexible in terms of genre… and my mouthpiece more than keeps up. I’m amazed at how effortlessly it can switch from soft and beautiful to experimental and plain nasty. The acoustic engineers completely understood my needs and the sound it delivers is something I’ve had in my head for a long time too… a vintage yet modern sound. Soft with an edge and powerful with tonnes of character.

My Syos mouthpiece allows me to produce, project, articulate notes very smoothly. It has balanced tone across the whole range and is comfortable to play!

I love that Syos literally allows you to "shape your own sound." It was great being to say exactly what I wanted in a mouthpiece and have it delivered, it's perfect. I also appreciate that Syos allows sax players of all levels and resources to access the specific sounds and tones they want - it really helps to showcase your own voice!
