Thanks to the excellent information you provide, I was able to make the right choice (a great feature of Syos). I was a bit worried that the 12 tip opening would be too much for me and it was certainly tough wth the reeds I had. But a softer reed sorted that without weakening the attack or the tone colour.
I was seeking a darker less edgy sound than that afforded by my Jody Jazz HR*. I having heard Dan play I was taken by the dark warm sound - so decided to give SYOS a try.
This mouthpiece delivers. It gives me a darker sound and played delightfully straight out of the box.
I am very much enjoying the sound. So much so I have gone and got a SYOS mouthpiece for my alto sax.
I received a custom alto saxophone mouthpiece from Syos, based on their Smoky mouthpiece but with a wider opening like the previous mouthpiece I was playing. I absolutely love it, it has allowed me to play with a much more relaxed embouchure and with a great dynamic range, improved intonation and much flexibility through the entire range of the instrument. Very happy with my new gear!

Hi Guys I am so happy with my mouthpiece it is so easy to play and a lovely warm tone. I have purchased a soprano smoky also now and awaiting its arrival with excitement. But not a fan of mouthpiece cop as the moment I put it on my mouthpiece it cracked. They need to be made better stronger maybe. Regards Beverley Herbert
I'm surprised how much you can project. I originally played with a New York GS 6 with V15 2.5 reeds. I tend to play bright. This really balanced everything. I'm still tweaking with some notes like middle G, but I'm enjoying this so far.

Je joue SYOS au sax depuis 2020 et j’avais offert des becs à mon frère clarinetiste en version clarinette basse. Ils n’ont pas eu un grand succès, faut dire que c’était des freaks assez extrêmes. Je viens de lui donner un SPARK pour sa clar. Sib… je crois qu’il va ranger ses vandoren ! Plus de volume, de corps, son plein et « c’est facile des aigus aux graves ». Ben voila.
Habe verschieden Syos-Modelle probiert (teilweise wirklich sehr unterschiedlich) aber das Behroozi hat mich am meisten überzeugt. Sehr flexibel von Klassik, Jazz bis Rock alles mit dem selben Mundstück. Intonation und Ansprache ist sensationell von Subtone bis Altissimo. Dazu hat es auch eine sehr große dynamische Bandbreite (ppp-fff).
Reagiert recht unterschiedlich auf verschiedene Blätter. Da sollte man etwas länger ausprobieren. Für mich waren es am Ende Daniel´s 3 bei der 11er Öffnung (FL-Ligatur).

Incroyable, je ne suis pas un pro et loin de là plutôt débutant dégrossi. La facilité de jeu est impressionnant donc moins de fatigue ( 1h30 sans problème), le son est génial. Bref foncé. Merci SYOS
Uch mag den Sound und mit den richtigen Blättern wird der Ton oben auch nicht zu dünn.
Es spielt sich fast wie von selbst und sieht super cool aus... auch mit der Blütenligatur. Ist sehr ansteckend 😃
