Continuing our look back at ten years of Syos, 2024 was a year on the move.
NAMM 2024: a piano on our stand
We kicked off the year with the NAMM show once again, and this time we brought a piano onto our stand and put on lots of wonderful little concerts with Chloe Feoranzo, Eric Croissant, Lorren Chiodo, Josh Plotner, Tivon Pennicott, Claudia Medina, Lorenzo Ferrero, Alicia Camiña Ginés and Art Baden.

It was also the year we released Patrick Bartley's signature mouthpiece, which quickly became a best seller on alto!
Going nomad: travelling the world with Syos
2024 is the year I gave up my apartment in Paris, put all my things into a storage space, and set off to travel all over the world with my Syos mouthpieces. That's why you now see me more often outside France than in it! But do let me know whenever you're passing through Paris :)
Six months in Asia
That year I spent six months in Asia and kept developing Syos there. That's how we started working with our distributor HOSCO, and how we earned a great feature in Sax World magazine.
Two months in Korea, and Korean TV
I also spent two months in Korea, where I met many musicians! Syos even made it onto Korean television thanks to our artist Jay Kim, who plays live on the show SNL Korea. I was even invited to the recording of the show — I didn't understand much, but it was great fun to see behind the scenes!

Speaking of TV, our Syos mouthpieces were well represented that year. We saw Brent Birckhead play one in the Apple TV series Lady in the Lake with Natalie Portman. We also heard Tomoaki Baba play in the film Blue Giant.
Music China in Shanghai
I then took our Korean artists Hanna Yoo and SJSAX to demo our mouthpieces at the Music China trade show in Shanghai! Our stand was wild — people were almost fighting to try the mouthpieces!
Hong Kong
I wrapped up this Asian tour in Hong Kong! We started working with the shop Saxmen Studio, which let me meet our artists Kaho Wong, Scott Murphy and Paolo Levi in person, and start working with Eason Leung and Bernard Carpio.
New R&D: trumpet mouthpieces and a secret project
2024 is also the year we began working on our new trumpet mouthpieces (coming soon…) and on another secret R&D project…
Three Syos artists nominated at the Grammy Awards
That year, three Syos artists were nominated at the Grammy Awards: Tivon Pennicott, Gladney and Katy Cacao (Cimafunk).
