Discover the unfolding of this extraordinary event at Syos!
Tuesday, October the 1st
Time to announce the Freaks project to the team. The task is huge, and our work needs to be well organised to get everything done:
- Selecting the perfectly playable mouthpieces
- Sorting the mouthpieces by type of sax and tip opening
- Finding boxes for the mouthpieces
- Marking the mouthpieces to make them different from our "classic" products
- Sorting the ligatures to send with our Freaks
- Communication: visuals, explanatory videos, social media posts...
Astounded by the enormity of the challenge ahead, it's time for us to put on our witches hats, vampires capes and get started on this enormous offer!
Monday, October 14th
Everything is under control. The videos have been filmed, the pictures have been taken. The costumes, the decorations, the boxes and the creepy confetti are ready, the team is prepped. The only issue is the neverending boxes, full of unsorted Freaks, and despite the ghosts and bloody stickers at Syos, these boxes of mouthpieces truly are the scariest thing in the office.
Friday, October 18th
The sorting is going well, despite the few grumbles that seem to be resonating in the office due to the neverending quantity of Freaks. The team is having doubts, energy levels are waning and the road to Halloween appears challenging than we first aniticpated.
Wednesday, October 24th
The finally sorted mouthpieces kindly wait to be marked and sent. Now is time to fold their boxes (a few hundreds) and decorate them... And the team did not hesitate to get their hands dirty!
Monday, October 28th
The last mouthpieces are marked, the team is wondering how everything is going to pan out. Mixed feelings of excitement and worry, a month's worth of work is finally ready. The videos are online and Syos customers and friends are finally being introduced to the Freaks. The whole team is holding its breath.
Tuesday, October 29th
Here we are. Syos is finally releasing the Freaks. So, are you more Werewolf, Vampire or Skeleton?
We share the link and activate the offer. More clients are visiting the website than ever before. The anxiety grows, the orders, the website, the shipping, will it all work well? The first panicked messages are coming in, and the team is answering all queries about this monstrous offer.
The Syos team is faced with an ever-increasing number of orders whilst hastily preaparing the boxes. A true fordist production line is set up: put the mouthpieces in the bag, put the bag in a box, add a ligature, close the box, prepare the shipping... Everything is organised as the available stocks are shrinking. Baritones are already sold out, only a few altos and tenors remain! Dizzied by the enthusiasm, everyone is so happy and working hard for this scary offer.
8:45 PM :
Everything is sold out. Even the wildest of gamblers wouldn't have bet on such a huge success. The team is proud, emotional and a bit shaken by this offer that took so much preparation and that was over so quickly.
The next day, we look back on this Halloween experience that was supposed to last three days but that was over in just 7 hours. Who would have believed it? Even though this offer was at times a little straining, we could not be happier with its success!
Congratulations to all the lucky ones who got their hands on a box of freaks! Due to the huge number of orders, they might be a little delayed, but we are doing everything we can to make sure you receive them as soon as possible. For those who did not get their Freaks, did you really think Syos was going to let you down? To comfort you, here is a little Halloween gift!
