J’utilise les anches Syos (ténor, alto) depuis plusieurs années! J’en suis pleinement satisfait, homogénéité du son, régulières, et de plus, longévité. Merci
I recently received the Gabi Rose mouthpiece, Sea Blue with 6* tip. I am doubling on tenor sax in our jazz orchestra and needed a sound which blended well on solis but could cut with power during solos. The Gabi Rose design fulfills this need and is a definite conversation starter. I am very pleased.
I was looking for a dark and warm sound for combo and ensemble work. The Knoel Scott mouthpiece delivered. Paired it with a BG ligature as the Fibracell reeds I use are a bit thinner than a standard cane reed, so it holds the reed in place better than the SYOS round ligature offered. Pitch and tone is well balanced up and down the horn. A good investment at a fair price.
I bought a Spark 5 a year ago and have tons of fun playing with it. I was offered an anniversary discount (which was a brilliant marketing move) and bought this Smoky 6 trying to see how big a difference a mouthpiece could make. I must say, the difference is truly remarkable. The Smoky gives a rich, warm tone while still incredibly easy to blow. I think I am still a Spark guy. But every now and then, using the Smoky to play some oldies feel relaxing and at ease.
I needed a dark mouthpiece that I could control while playing small venues. The Smokey 6 did that for me. I can control the volume as needed. While playing a larger venue I just add a sax microphone. Very satisfied.
This mouthpiece is great! I’d like a bit more free-blowing but I love the edge and power it gives me. I think once I figure out the reed combination I need to use, it’ll be perfect.
The mouthpiece has an easy response. The intonation is much better than on other mouthpieces. The overall result is a bigger, fuller sound.
An attractive object - I chose white to contrast with a black mouthpiece. My first ring ligature and it's easy to use, of course. But the welcome surprise is that the bass clarinet speaks more freely and easily than it did with a metal/screw mouthpiece. Thank you Syos.
Molto bello
Suono brillante e potente
Uso una legere american cut 1,75
Great sound. Better than expected quality of the mouthpiece. The ligature was better than I had expected although it is a little difficult to use with synthetic reeds. The mouthpiece cap was great and I love the little bag that the mouthpiece comes in.
J'avais un smoky pour mon soprano, j'ai donc privilégié ce modèle pour mon ténor. Tout comme pour le soprano, j'en suis très satisfait. Il est facile à jouer et puissant tout en conservant les nuances.
Love it. Exactly what I hoped it’d be. Mellow, breathy, sweet and even response right up into altissimo. Like a full bodied Stan Getz tone. It was well worth researching the options, the time spent has definitely paid off!
I’m loving this mouthpiece! I’ve been complimented on my sound with other mouthpieces, but this one makes my sound even better and richer.
Une facilité pour ou un jeu dans les graves, et les aiguë, un son sont puissant et brillant.
In the late Fall of 2023, I bought a SYOS Spark 7 in an attempt to change my tenor saxophone sound to what I had always heard in my head, but never really gotten out of ANY of the mouthpieces I had used before. From the first time I played it, I got EXACTLY what I wanted. The color, the intensity, the ease and brilliance of playing in the altissimo register and the crisp, full low-end, bottom of the horn. As I said, the mouthpiece has given me everything I wanted. I ordered it in a bold, FIRE RED - my favorite color, which looks great onstage and I love the boldness. However, for some settings, it is visually out of character and I recently ordered another in PITCH BLACK. It plays and sounds identical to my first one. That is pure consistency. Truly, a match made in Heaven - or in France, depending on your point of view.
Just get it, you won’t regret it, plain and simple!
Best mouthpiece I’ve ever, tested used and bought!
Tjis mouthpiece plays beautifully and being able to us to use my sound really will help accelerate my studies! Thank you SYOS!
