A few years ago, Dan Forshaw organized a big vote on Youtube. He had 16 different alto mouthpieces from different brands: Vandoren, d'Addario, Selmer, Yamaha, Otto Link, Yanagisawa and Syos. He played all these mouthpieces one by one and made people chose the one they prefered by just hearing the sound. The mouthpieces were hidden so they couldn't know what mouthpiece Dan was playing on each video.
