Syos orders are shipped with standard or express shipping (the option is chosen on checkout). For every order containing one or several mouthpieces, there is an additional 3 to 5 days production time. The shipping time depends on the shipping method and on the shipping country (for the US, express is 2 days and standard is 10).

Product exchanges and refunds are available during 30 days after the reception of the order. To request a product return, get your order ID and visit our return portal. Please note that saxophone and clarinet reeds are non exchangeable and non refundable.

The sound of my instruments is the most important for me. For years, my main goal was to have the best mouthpieces to represent my own personality in each of my saxophones and to be unique both as a musician and as a person. SYOS gave me the opportunity to build my own signature mouthpieces and to achieve the combination of quality sound and flexibility in my playing.

Syos stands for Shape Your Own Sound. The technology and the science behind our saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces come from years of research at IRCAM, the worldwide reference in terms of acoustics and sound technologies.

The meeting between Pauline, PhD in acoustics, and Maxime, PhD in auditory perception, started the creation and development of a new and original way of designing instruments.

It lacks a little to be better

The sound is a bit dry, it lacks warmth. If we compare it with the Yamaha 7c (modified so that the tip opening would be around 9c; of course, if such existed), then the sound would be almost similar. Maybe the Yamaha would have a little less resistance. But we are talking about a plastic mouthpiece that costs only 50 euros? An even bigger objection would refer to the saving of material. The part that is pulled onto the cork is shortened for no reason! Missing some 4-5 mm? It's too short like this and mouthpiece keeps rotating and falling out while playing! I should mention that I have about twenty mouthpieces, and only this one keeps falling out! Unfortunately, as such it is useless to me. What a shame!
