Such an Easy Concept! Why did it take so long?

My ligature is so easy to use and makes a great tight seal when I use it. Makes one wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with this idea?

Players seem somewhat mixed on SYOS mouthpieces, and I for sure have enough emails in my inbox from Pauline…but I have to say not only has the Smoky become my go-to player, but one review that said they’d prefer it was made of hard rubber rather than printed plastic. I would agree completely, were it not that I believe part of its exact acoustic quality is the resonance of the material. I think hard rubber may likely last longer in a year or three, but I love the way it sounds. Even the plastic ligature adds something beautiful and refreshing to the sound quality of this mouthpiece. I really like the way they play!

Le premier bec que j’ai reçu ne me convenait pas à 100% et je l’ai donc renvoyé et commandé un modèle avec une ouverture plus grande. L’envoi a malheureusement pris 3 semaines pour arriver de la France au Portugal (le problème était en France). Par contre, cela en a valu la peine, car ce bec me convient parfaitement, et la manufacture est vraiment très bonne. Merci Syos!

Simple and Effective

I love the zen like simplicity of these ligatures! No more fiddling with screws and such. Easy to push on and I use my thumbs to pop it off. I have two- one for a Meyer based alto mouthpiece and one for a Runion bari mouthpiece. Each provides firm and complete seal. I stuck with black and white for classics looks but… loving all the color selections and thinking of getting another! 😄
