What a joy to have the sound in my head made real. Many saxophonists will spend a lifetime finding the "perfect" mouthpiece. Syos has made it almost too easy to end that quest.

Biography

A 6th-generation native of New Orleans’s Lower 9th Ward, GRAMMY-nominated multi-instrumentalist and composer Gladney is one of the foremost creatives of his hometown and a leading contemporary exponent of the saxophone.

Throughout his 18-year career, Gladney has been featured in numerous performances, including music videos and live TV appearances such as the Kelly & Ryan Show, Live with Seth Myers, and BBC's Graham Norton Show. He has performed internationally with a range of artists including Jonathan Batiste, Ellis Marsalis, George Duke, Branford Marsalis, Solange, and Topsy Chapman. Gladney additionally appears on Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah's 2018 GRAMMY-nominated album, “The Emancipation Procrastination” on his own feature track, "Cages.”

Gladney currently leads a self-titled band with the 2021 release of "Selenite" marking the band's recording debut. Along with his band, Gladney performs regularly with The Rumble, a Mardi Gras Indian funk band from New Orleans, and Jake Shears of alt-pop band Scissor Sisters
