Dear Syos community,
Today I wanted to talk to you about great music education projects Syos is involved in.
At Syos, we believe that music education and community engagement are essential components of a healthy and vibrant society. That's why we're committed to supporting programs that provide access to music education for all, regardless of background or socioeconomic status.
One of our key partnerships in this area is with Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA), a program of the LA Philharmonic that provides free music education to underserved communities. We're proud to support YOLA by providing Syos mouthpieces to their students, giving them access to high-quality equipment that can help improve their sound and increase their motivation to practice.
I met their teacher, Poncho Williams, at NAMM. I was so happy to hear that within a few months playing on the Syos mouthpieces, his students improved a lot their tone and their tuning! They even made a small video for us 🥰
But our commitment to music education doesn't stop there. We've also been working with the Ghetto Classics program in Kenya, which provides music education and performance opportunities to young people in the slums of Nairobi. A few months ago, we gave some mouthpieces to Toine Thys, who brought them to the program, giving these young musicians access to the same high-quality equipment that professional musicians use.
That's just a start and we really to do more in the future. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to discover the joy of music, and we're committed to doing our part to make that a reality 😊
