Since the release of the Titanium mouthpiece in May, players have had time to test it, play it, and form their own opinions. The reviews and conversations are coming in.
One of the most detailed so far comes from saxophonist and composer Stéphane Colin, who has recorded with Dee Dee Bridgewater and Rhoda Scott, and who put together a walloping one-hour review of the mouthpiece.
In the video, Stéphane goes deep into the material, design, manufacturing, playing tests, and his personal experience with the mouthpiece over several months. He takes In a SentiMETAL Mood through different musical worlds, from Brecker Brothers fusion to jazz standards and warmer subtone playing, with plenty of music, visuals, and thoughtful commentary along the way.
"My sound has changed. I don't know if it's for the better, of course, but it has changed, and that was the goal."
The video is in French, but English subtitles are available.
